Employee of the Month - January 2020

I am delighted to inform you that Richie Nelson who works as an Engineering Estates Officer has been selected as the City Hospitals Independent Commercial Enterprises Ltd (CHoICE) employee of the month for January 2020.  The particular feedback received in relation to Richie's award includes:

 “Richie has been instrumental in all elements of his role over recent months and went above and beyond in many areas, typically co-ordinating the removals of asbestos, which prevented the Trust from providing the level of care it strives on and also some critical ventilation issues, which were resolved quickly in key areas of the Trust.

Richie was very recently asked to attend Coronavirus meetings with many senior Trust staff, where he gave succinct advice, acted professionally with reliable and sound information. He has worked excellent under pressure with no guidance in respect to mobilising the works for an isolation ward where he has been instrumental in leading and arranging these works to enable the Trust to meet the deadline set out by NHS England – well done Richie”
