Special Recognition Award to CHoICE Facilities Team

This year, a Special Recognition Award was made as part of the preparations for the 70th birthday of the NHS. The #NHS70 Award went to our CHoICE Facilities Team for the efforts they made to keep hospital services going during the recent ‘Beast of the East’ winter weather.
The team worked throughout the night to ensure that paths and car parks were clear and safe for patients, visitors and staff, they provided cooked breakfasts for colleagues who stayed at the hospital overnight to make sure that patient care was not compromised and they hired in 4x4s and collected and dropped off colleagues who were unable to drive or access public transport.
There is no doubt that the team went above and beyond to support the Trust during what was a particularly challenging time and this award recognised those efforts.
